Not exactly what one would consider “great” by any means, but still somewhat notable as it was one of the titles Central Park Media released on laserdisc but never made the leap to DVD (and probably for a reason). Here is an eBay listing for the laserdisc version of Crystal Triangle.

Falling under both rare item and funny cover catagories, here is an ebay listing for the Ultimate Teacher laserdisc put out in the early 1990’s by Central Park Media. Though a little on the pricey side, if you are looking for anime from the 1990’s that DVD forgot this is a good find.

While certainly not what most would consider a “classic” by any means, Wanna-Be’s still has its small footnote in anime history as a fun little OVA from the early 1990’s. Here is an eBay listing for the laserdisc of this title which never made the jump to DVD.

Today’s find is an eBay listing for the original Sol Bianca OVA released by AD Vision in the early 1990’s. This (as well as volume 2) was also released on VHS also by AD Vision. Volume 2 was never released on laserdisc in the US. As this has never made it to DVD (in the US, there is a low-end edited version in the UK) it is rather rare.

Here is an eBay listing for the VHS release of Megami Paradise. Never released on DVD (or laserdisc to my knowledge), Megami Paradise was released by AD Vision in the late 1990’s. While not “the greatest anime” by any means, it is still a fun bit of anime history.

Today’s item is an eBay listing for the original Pioneer anime (USA) laserdisc release of the Tenchi Universe series. Though this series has since been release on DVD several times, hardcore fans will find this set interesting for it’s massive amount of artwork and off-disc extras.
